I hope everybody is enjoying the holiday season so far. I’ve put together a list of easy ways to renew your passion for music that work now or anytime of year. Let me know if I’ve left anything out.

Rekindling You Love Of Music

1. Find A Christmas Radio Station-If your local station isn’t playing Christmas music yet, you can probably get a holiday digital station on your cable or satellite system. Don’t forget Pandora or iTunes if you’re at your computer.
2. Sing Together At Parties-Yeah, it’s corny as hell but it’s also a lot of fun.
3. Attend A School Band Or Choir Performance-Especially at this time of year, you can find everything from pre-school to master level college performances.
4. Load iPod Up With New Music-Don’t let your iPod become another thing you have that you don’t use. If you keep the music fresh, you’ll always be eager for some time to listen.
5. Find A Musical Blog or Forum-Do a Google search for your instrument and add the word blog or forum to your search query. Then, connect with others who share your passion.
6. Look Up Old Friends-Chances are that you were close because you shared musical interests. Here you’ll be renewing a social and musical connection. Win-win.
7. Don’t Be Ashamed Of The Oldies-The stuff that got you hooked on music probably still moves you. Either pull out the old albums or CDs or look for it online.
8. Give The Gift Of Music-Allow your passion to spread by giving others gift certificates for Amazon or iTunes or any brick and mortar music store.
9. Buy Your Family A Piano-Get everybody involved and invest in some lessons. There also is no better a start in life for your children than musical training.
